Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Trainee Engineer (Civil) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or AMIE with minimum 60% marks.
  • Trainee Engineer (Mechanical) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Thermal/Mechanical & Automation Engineering or AMIE with 60% marks.
  • Trainee Engineer (Electrical) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Power Systems & High Voltage/Power Engineering or AMIE with 60% marks.
  • Trainee Engineer (Electronics & Communication) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Power/Power Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control or AMIE with 60% marks.
  • Trainee Engineer/Officer (IT) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering with 60% marks OR MCA with 60% marks.
  • Trainee Officer (Geology) – Full-time M.Sc (Geology)/M.Tech in Applied Geology with 60% marks.
  • Trainee Engineer/Officer (Environment) – Full-time BE/B.Tech in Environmental Engineering or M.Sc in Environmental Science with 60% marks.

Desirable for Environment post: MSW or MBA (Rural Management)

All qualifications must be from a recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE.

Job Location:

The selected candidates will be placed at various NHPC/NHDC projects, power stations, offices, joint ventures, and subsidiary companies across India or abroad.

Salary Information:

  • During the 1-year training period: Rs. 50,000 – 160,000 (IDA pattern)
  • Total annual emoluments for new joiners: Approximately Rs. 15 Lakhs

Application Fees:

  • Rs. 708/- (including taxes) for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates
  • No fees for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-servicemen candidates

  4. Upload scanned copies of required documents like educational certificates, caste/disability certificates, GATE 2023 scorecard, etc.
  5. Pay the application fee through online mode (if applicable).
  6. Submit the online application and take a printout for future reference.

Selection Process:

  • GATE 2023 score (75% weightage)
  • Group Discussion & Personal Interview (25% weightage)
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for GD/PI based on their normalized GATE 2023 marks.

Reservations and age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD candidates.

Service Agreement Bond:

  • General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 4 Lakh (plus GST)
  • SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 2 Lakh (plus GST)
  • Minimum service period: 4 years
