Eligibility Criteria

Criteria Details
Nationality Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam.
Educational Qualification HSSLC (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Age Limit 18 to 25 years as of 1st January 2024 (age relaxation as per government rules).
Physical Standards (Male) Height: 162.56 cm (5’3″), Chest: 80 cm (31.5″) normal, 85 cm (33.5″) expanded.
Physical Standards (Female) Height: 154.94 cm (5’1″).
Documents Required Proof of age, educational certificates, proof of residency, and relevant certificates (e.g., NCC).

Selection Procedure

Stage Description
Written Examination General knowledge, reasoning, and arithmetic test. Syllabus and pattern available on GMC website.
Physical Standard Test (PST) Measurement of height, chest (for males), and general physical fitness. Qualifying stage. Medical checks for specific conditions.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Activities like running, jumping, and other physical exercises. Marks from this stage contribute to final selection.
Personality Test/Viva Voce Assessment of personality, communication skills, and overall suitability for the role. Marks contribute to the final score.
