Position: Scouts & Guides Quota (Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’)

North Central Railway (NCR) invites applications from eligible candidates under the Scouts & Guides quota. NCR seeks dedicated individuals passionate about scouting and guiding, with opportunities available across the Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi divisions.

🎓 Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Group Level & Grade Pay Minimum Qualification
Group ‘C’ Level-2, Rs. 1900/- Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate
Group ‘D’ Level-1, Rs. 1800/- 10th pass, ITI, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT

Note: 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates and those with higher qualifications (Graduation/Post Graduation).


Scouts & Guides Qualifications

Candidates applying under the Scouts & Guides quota must meet specific requirements. They must have:

  1. Certification:
    • President’s Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section.
  2. Membership:
    • Must be an active member of a Scouts organization for at least 5 years.
    • Certificate of Activeness should be presented as per Annexure ‘C’.
  3. Event Participation:
    • Attendance in at least two national-level or All India Railways events and two state-level events.

📍 Location & Division Details

The Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ positions are spread across the Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi divisions of the North Central Railway zone. Applicants for Group ‘D’ roles can specify their preferred division but may be posted anywhere based on organizational needs.

📝 Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process comprising:

  1. Written Test (60 Marks)
    • 40 Objective Questions on Scouts & Guides and General Knowledge (40 marks)
    • 1 Essay-type Question (20 marks)
    • The test will include negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  2. Certificate-Based Scoring (40 Marks)
    • Participation in National/State Events, Specialized Courses, and District Rallies will contribute to the overall score.
