Employer Overview: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution, Government of India. As the National Standards Body of India, BIS is responsible for activities in the field of Standardization, Product and System Certification, Hallmarking, Laboratory Testing, etc. BIS also plays a crucial role in international standardization and certification.

- Other Requirements:
- Candidates who were called for an interview in the last year but did not appear, or those selected but did not join, should not apply.
- Candidates should be ready to join within one month of the issuance of the offer letter if selected.

Salary:
- A consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹1.5 Lakh (fixed).
- An annual increment of 5% based on performance and review.
- No TA/DA for joining, but TA/DA and lodging allowance will be paid for official assignments as per BIS rules.

Selection Process:
- All applications will be reviewed by a Screening Committee.
- Eligible candidates will be informed of the subsequent selection process.
- BIS reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
Job Scope:

| NITS | – Formulate training policies.<br>- Develop training programs, courses, teaching & learning materials.<br>- Network with other academic & training institutions.- Develop online courses & modules.<br>- Conduct research in Standardization, Certification, and Testing of Products.<br>- Perform any other related work assigned by BIS. |
| TNMD | – Promote standards and consumer awareness.<br>- Manage matters related to the Consumer Policy Advisory Committee and the publicity of BIS activities.<br>- Implement the Reward and Recognition Scheme.<br>- Coordinate with the National Mirror Committee of ISO COPOLCO and other Technical/Project Committees of ISO. |
| SCMD | – Implement action plans for the educational outreach of standards.<br>- Coordinate with educational institutions and stakeholders on standardization matters.<br>- Engage in R&D projects and interact with industry associations. |
| IR&TISD | – Study Standardization and Conformity Assessment related aspects.<br>- Engage in other activities as required by BIS. |

- Confidentiality: Management Executives must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in all actions and hand over all records before the contract’s expiry or before the final payment is released.
- Conflict of Interest: Management Executives must not represent or give advice that conflicts with BIS interests.
