Desirable Qualifications – Experience in the field of HIV/AIDS – Exposure to field-based health surveys – Experience working with high-risk groups like FSW, MSM, IDU, H/TG – Good computer knowledge – Fluency in local regional language (Marathi) – Good English language skills – Good people interaction and communication skills – Willingness to travel – Local candidates are encouraged to apply and will be preferred.

Laboratory Technician

Application Instructions

Candidates must bring a duly filled application form in the prescribed format, along with a recent passport-size color photograph, a detailed bio-data/CV, and all relevant documents in original. They must also carry one set of self-attested photocopies of proof of their educational qualifications, experience, age, caste, and a photo ID (Aadhar Card/Indian Passport/PAN Card/Driving License). Candidates arriving after 11:00 AM will not be allowed to enter the premises.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection will be based on a Walk-In-Interview and/or Written Test if the number of eligible candidates exceeds 30.
  • The written/skill test will cover relevant subject matters considering the essential qualification and job requirements, general knowledge, reasoning skills, quantitative analysis, language, and general aptitude.
  • Successful candidates from the written/skill test will be considered for the interview, subject to fulfilling the required eligibility criteria in all respects of qualification, age, and experience.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The positions are temporary, project-specific, and co-terminus with the project.
  2. Number of vacancies may vary.
  3. The advertised posts are tentative and subject to project requirements and approval.
  4. Emoluments are project-specific and dependent on funding agency approval.
  5. Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR instructions for SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, project employees, and ex-Servicemen.
  6. Reserved category candidates must produce their Caste Validity Certificate; OBC candidates need a valid non-creamy layer certificate.
  7. Separate applications should be submitted for each post/reservation.
  8. Qualification and experience should be in relevant disciplines and from reputed institutions.
  9. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
  10. The institute reserves the right to reject any application/candidature.
  11. Project personnel are not eligible for regular posts in the institute or any Department of Government of India.
  12. The appointment period is initially for three months and may be extended based on project tenure and performance evaluation.
  13. The institute reserves the right to modify/cancel the recruitment process.
  14. Candidates must bring their own food items/snacks for the interview day.
  15. The decision of the Director, NITVAR, will be final and binding.
