THE INDIAN NAVY INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR ENROLMENT AS SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE (AA) & SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS (SSR)

Education Qualification:
a) AA – Qualified in 10+2 examination and 60% or more marks in Maths & Physics.
b) SSR – Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics
Age Limit:
Candidates should be born between 01Aug 2002 to 31 Jul 2005. (Both dates inclusive)
Pay Scale:
Rs 21700 – 69,100/-
Insurance Cover:
(on contribution) of 50 lakhs for sailors is applicable

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Shortlisting: shortlisting of candidates would be based on aggregate percentage obtained in Physics, Mathematics and at least one of these subjects – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science in the qualifying examination (10+2)
Written Test:
a) One common examination will be conducted for AA and SSR entries.
b) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
c) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 level and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
d) Duration of examination will be one hour.
Physical Fitness Test (PET)
a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test mandatory for selection.
b) PET will consist of 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes. 20 squats & 10 push-ups.
Medical Standards:
a) Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
b) Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
