The Indian Army, the land-based branch of the Indian Armed Forces, is inviting online applications for the 33rd Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Course. The primary mission is to ensure national security and unity by defending the nation from external aggression and internal threats. The President of India serves as the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality:
- Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal, or persons of Indian origin migrated from specified countries.
- Age Limit:
- 21 to 27 years as of 01 July 2024. Candidate’s date of birth recorded in Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate will be considered.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (3 years professional after graduation or 5 years after 10+2).
- Valid CLAT PG score mandatory.
- Registered with Bar Council of India/State.
- From recognized University/College by Bar Council of India.
Location:
- Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Jalandhar (Selection Centre for SSB interview)
- Chennai (Training at OTA)
Salary:
- Lt – Level 10 in Pay Matrix of 7th CPC, Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 per month
- Capt – Level 10 B in Pay Matrix, Rs. 61,300-1,93,900 per month
- Major – Level 11 in Pay Matrix, Rs. 69,400-2,07,200 per month
- And so on.MSP, DA, Allowances as admissible.

Training Period:
- 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai
Service Duration:
- Short Service Commission initially for 10 years, extendable up to 14 years.
