Cochin Shipyard Limited is inviting applications for Selection of Workmen
Posts:
a) Sheet Metal Worker-88 Posts
Educational Qualifications: Pass in SSLC and ITI (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker or Fitter.
Minimum of 3 years of post qualification experience is needed
b) Welder – 71 Posts
Qualifications: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of welder
Experience: candidates should have atleast a minimum of 3 years post qualification/ teraining in the relevant trade
c) Fitter – 31 Posts
Qualifications: Qualifications: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Fitter.
Experience: candidates should have atleast a minimum of 3 years post qualification/ teraining in the relevant trade
d) Mechanical Diesel – 30 Posts
Qualifications: Pass in SSLC and ITI- NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanical Diesel.
Experience: candidates should have atleast a minimum of 3 years post qualification/ teraining in the relevant trade
e) Electrician: 63 Posts
Qualifications: Pass in SSLC and ITI-NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electrician.
Experience:candidates should have atleast a minimum of 3 years post qualification/ teraining in the relevant trade

Period of Contract: All the posts will be for a maximum period of three years and are subject to project requirements and performance
Salary: Starting from Rs 23300/- per month plus Rs 4900/- compensation for extra hours of work
Age Limit: Maximum of 30 years (full details given in notification)
Other Details:
The minimum qualification stipulated for all the posts must be from an Institute/
Examination Board recognized by appropriate statutory authority in India or State/ Central
Government.
Those applicants having qualifications equivalent to any of the prescribed qualifications
should submit Equivalency Certificate issued by the competent authority and without such
certificate, their candidature shall not be considered.
